Coming up at the zoo

Everything on sale right now, with the real prices and the real restrictions. Each one takes you to the booking form that handles it, and we have said on every card who takes your payment — so there are no surprises at the checkout.

  1. Spooktacular Haunted Halloween

    A haunted forest after dark, with the scares graded to suit whoever you are bringing.

    Fridays and Saturdays from 9 October, plus Sunday 25th and Thursday 29th
    Times
    Gates open at 4pm. Sessions run from 5pm to 8.30pm depending on the date, graded from gentle and magical through to adults only — the later the slot, the darker the forest and the bigger the fright.

    What the ticket includes
    • Entry to the haunted forest and every activity in it
    • The decorated tractor and trailer ride to the forest entrance, free to all ticket holders
    • Free entry to the zoo from 4pm
    • Craft table, fairground games and photo spots
    • Free parking, and 10% off main meals in the Dizzy Duck Café

    Worth knowing. Tickets are non-refundable, but you can move your booking to another available date free of charge — including if severe weather forces a cancellation.

  2. Christmas Wonderland

    A personal invitation through the letterbox, a tractor-sleigh into the woods, and a Santa who already knows your child’s name.

    December 2026 — dates are released on the booking form
    Times
    Four slots a day: Wonder at 12pm, Magic at 1pm, Twinkle at 2pm and Sparkle at 3pm. The woodland theatre is small and slots book up quickly.

    About 90 minutes

    What the ticket includes
    • A personalised invitation posted to your child before the visit
    • The tractor-sleigh ride to the enchanted woodland, and back
    • The elf woods, the woodland theatre, the gingerbread house and the wish list sent by flame mail
    • A one-to-one meeting with Santa, and a gift bag with a soft toy
    • A cookie from Mrs Claus, and daytime entry to the zoo on the day of your visit

    Worth knowing. Every child meeting Santa needs their own golden ticket; adults come free and there is no cap on how many. Bookings are non-refundable, but can be moved to another date if you contact the welcome team at least three hours ahead.

  3. Doggy Grotto

    The same Christmas woodland, for the member of the family who usually has to wait in the car.

    • A walk through the Christmas woodland with your dog
    • Mrs Claus, Tinsel Toes and Elf Faerydae along the way
    • A visit to Santa, and a doggy gift bag for every pup

    Worth knowing. This ticket is for dogs and their owners. Owners do not get the children’s parts of Wonderland — no cookie, no wish list, no gift from Santa; the dog gets those. If you are bringing children, book them a Wonderland ticket so they get the full experience.
